The 50th edition of the Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett has been the highlight of the baptism of the new balloon of Anulfo Gonzalez and Angel Aguirre’s team. The new aircraft means a great advance in terms of performance and total weight of the balloon. In the other hand, thanks to the cooperation with Peter Hausmann and Ballonbau Wörner, EASA has certified the modifications of the Tekno basket the use in both hot air and gas balloons, giving important ergonomic advantages of this combination.

After a test flight of more than 800 kms from Gladbeck (Germany) to Wloclawek (Poland), they checked all the systems and performance of the components, giving the teams with the best technology to face new challenges.

The baptism in competition of the Kamarotí balloon couldn’t be more exciting, making a flight from Vicky (France) over the Mediterranean sea to the island of Sardinia near the town of Oristano ((Italy), ending in 9th place and giving the team a great experience in the new aircraft.
